Our History and Future
Jamesville has a rich history and a bright future. Founded in 1785 along the Roanoke River, Jamesville thrived for many decades in agriculture, mills, fishing, and many other areas.
In recent years, the town has undergone a revitalization campaign to attract new residents and businesses, expand services offered to citizens and become a proactive leader in community awareness and involvement.

We are dedicated to open, effective, and progressive government that values the opinion of all stakeholders. Come join our beautiful town and see all that we have to offer! Town Board meetings are held on the Second Monday of the month at Town Hall, beginning at 7:00 p.m. Due to COVID-19, virtual participation is available and encouraged for public attendance. Join ZOOM Meeting Here. Zoning Board meetings are held on the Fourth Monday of the month, beginning at 7:00 p.m. only when they have information to discuss.
